As winter approaches, I’ll admit I’m still wishing for 70 degree days, pool time and long summer days filled with 14 hours of sunshine. So, it seemed like a good time to think about all the ways I actually love winter. Read on -

bananasmoothie

Green (kale + banana) smoothie! :)

My banana smoothie this morning was SO delicious, I wanted to share it with you! :)

It’s 2 bananas, a handful of kale, ice, and water. Whip it all up in a blender til it’s all frothy and thick. I love these – the banana makes it sweet, and the kale gives it just a little extra flavor – and good green stuff!

Working on the things I do know

Water, vegetables, exercise, rest – all are undeniably good things with no further research. When what I need most right now is time, I think I’ll focus on getting these basics rock-solid.

invoiceup

InvoiceUp: Get in early and your feedback will mean the world :)

This week, Andy launched InvoiceUp! It’s an invoicing tool. Track your time, send invoices, accept credit cards, get paid!

The really cool thing? Andy’s taking hardcore feedback from the first users. If you sign up early, and have feature requests, you have a chance of getting them! It’s like having your own personal invoice tool developer guy. :)

It’s Girl Effect day! Take a second to read about the Girl Effect, and how to encourage education, entrepreneurship, and family planning in third-world countries, by investing in girls. With some musings on how you can start promoting equality right here at home.

strawberrytree

Strawberry Trees – Free Food!

While walking around here in California, Andy and I ran across this tree with delicious looking fruit. I looked it up on my handy-dandy hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy — err, my smartphone – and found that it was indeed edible!

1×52, Week 10: k8ee as a start-your-own-photo-project

Week 10′s project is simple: I converted the main theme of my photoblog from promoting my own work, to inspiring others to start photoblogs, too.
