I swear this blog isn’t *really* about guacamole, but guac is just too darn tasty not to write about! One of my favorite healthy dinners – guacamole salad.
A while back, I placed these Tonka truck stickers on a lot of products that I’d see everywhere. The idea here was to remind myself to be more mindful. I thought that seeing dump truck stickers everywhere would be so ridiculous, that it would stand out as a reminder of why I’d left the stickers there – to pay more attention to everything I’m doing day-to-day, and to be grateful.
Lately, I’ve been advocating this idea: do something every day that scares you. It actually doesn’t have to be something big every day – there are tons of small ways to stretch your comfort zone – so that the bigger things start seeming easier, and also to learn more quickly what works and what doesn’t. On Thursday, Ignite Raleigh 3 fired up Raleigh with inspiring lightning talks, while raising money for Band Together. Band Together raises money for local charities, by organizing events – often music related – including the largest charity-focused music festival in NC.
